Monte Sahaja is Moojibaba’s home and the Centre for Self Realisation.
t is located in the hills of the Alentejo region, about two hours south of Lisbon in the rural area of Portugal. Monte Sahaja is a centre deeply supportive of meditation and Self-inquiry, with many contemplative areas created by Moojibaba himself. The word ‘Sahaja’ means the natural state of Being, and all that happens here is entirely dedicated to the realisation of the Self. Sahaja is also a lighthouse that shares Moojibaba’s teachings worldwide.

Each and every living being
is an embodiment of the imperishable Self.
The highest purpose of life
is to awaken to this truth experientially
as the very core of our existence.
An awakened master is the midwife
to this rebirth as pure consciousness.

Visiting Sahaja
Monte Sahaja is open for visits on selected periods throughout the year. The centre is not open for drop-in or casual visits, and is for those who are closely following Moojibaba’s pointings.

Sahaja closes a few times a year: for team retreat, due to extreme temperatures, or when rest is needed.

Without exception, it is necessary to apply and receive an invitation before coming. 

Sahaja retreats & Guest Stays
One of the best times to visit Monte Sahaja is during a retreat or guest stay (typically seven to ten days), which we have from time to time.
For a stay, there is the requirement to have been on Sahaja Express for at least 6 months

Moojibaba would like to work with those who are deeply committed to Self-discovery and have been consistently following his guidance for some time. The satsangs on Sahaja Express allow each one to be in the current pulse of Moojibaba’s sharing, and are essential preparation for making the most of a visit to Monte Sahaja

It is with great joy we share that we will have two Guest Stay Retreats in Monte Sahaja this year, the first from 9 to 18 June 2026, and the second from 22 September to 1 October 2026.

A stay at Sahaja is a rare and precious opportunity to be fully immersed in an environment dedicated entirely to Truth—to meet Moojibaba in satsang and to be in the company of the sangha here.

Moojibaba's wisdom, guidance and love are renowned, and his powerful presence is tangible in every encounter, revealing itself in all those who meet him genuinely. He has a remarkable ability to guide those who are earnest into the direct recognition of the Self.

His teachings and pointers are known for their accessibility and universal appeal, being beyond judgement and the grip of personal conditioning.
