Please be mindful when attending sadhana in person by not wearing strong perfume or scents.

“Getting up in the morning for sadhana is totally a selfish act – for personal strength, for personal intuition, for  personal sharpness, for personal discipline, and over and all, for personal  absolute prosperity.”
Yogi Bhaja

Kirtan
Evening Kirtan is held each evening 6.30pm at Ashram Ram Dass Guru.
Devotional chanting in a meditative state. Every week we chant a different shabad or mantra, celebrating life and allowing the internalization of the teachings.

Then we chant for 11 minutes the ‘Siri Gaitri Mantra’ more commonly known as Ra Ma Da Sa. It holds within it eight sounds that stimulate the Kundalini flow within the central channel of the spine for healing. It brings balance to the core of our energetic body and floods it with new energy.

Everyday 6:30 – 7:00 pm
Donation welcome – no registration needed

ONLINE KIRTAN: Every Friday we share Kirtan with you – join us on our Facebook page and via Zoom (contact us for access details).

Gurdwara
Gurdwara means “Door to the Guru – a gate from darkness (Gu) to light (Ru)”. It is a sacred place of worship welcoming individuals of all faiths, backgrounds, and traditions.
We begin our Kirtan with our daily healing meditation (RaMaDaSa SaSeSoHung) and then start our Gurdwara with Gurbani Kirtan. During the last part of the service, the congregation stands up for a collective prayer, called Ardas and then we listen to the Hukum as a guidance for our life’s path.

We frequently have guests from all parts of the globe coming to our Gurdwara to receive the blessings of the Guru and the sadh sangat, you are very invited to join us too. You can watch a video that explains the protocol for our Gurdwara here.

Every Saturday evening – 6:00 pm
Followed by Guru ka Langar (Guru’s free kitchen) at 7:00 pm.

Kundalini Yoga Classes
Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, was brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan in 1968. Yogi Bhajan taught that, through the practice of Kundalini Yoga and meditation, your glandular and nervous systems are stimulated, and your capacity for creative potential is heightened.

You gain inner vitality to compensate for the adverse effects of stress so you can excel in life. Kundalini yoga classes are a dynamic blend of postures, pranayam, mantra, music and meditation, which teach you the art of relaxation, self-healing and elevation. Balancing body and mind enables you to experience the clarity and beauty of your soul.

Monday – 7:30 pm with Hari Rai Singh
€11 per class (90 min.) | €33 per month

Who We Are
Vision.
In the present, for the future

With the creation and development of the Ashram, ARDG aims to create a living example in Portugal of a sustainable spiritual community and space.
To support and explore a dharmic way of living based on the teachings of Kundalini Yoga, to face the changing times at the beginning of the Aquarian age with consciousness and clarity, so we may become the possible human, as described by Yogi Bhajan.

This space of healing and rejuvenation will act as a lighthouse to inspire and guide others and serve the expansion of human consciousness on Earth.

Mission.
Associação Ram Dass Guru promotes and supports trainings and events of self development and well being, this can happen as a co-production or by renting the space.
This way the Association continues its mission of serving the community and contribute for a conscious path.

What Is An Ashram?
What is the purpose of the ashram? What happens in an ashram?

Ashram means a place of spiritual effort. It means that the ashram has a spiritual reference (guiding principles) and a spiritual practice (a lifestyle that may include yoga, meditation, diet, and more).

To live in the ashram implies that you come to participate in and experience the practice, and to respect — if not learn from — the teachings that guide the community.

You may experience the ashram as a pressure cooker, a washing machine, an amplifier, a mirror, a training ground, and more.

Some people come for a short time, dipping their feet in the water — a retreat from busy, stressful city life. Others come to go through a personal process. Some come to deeply experience the teachings and community living, and a few may feel at home and settle for life.

Trainings & Workshops
As an ashram for Kundalini Yoga and Karam Kriya, several trainings and workshops are held during the year, by different teachers and schools, mainly by our partner Quinta do Rajo.

If you are looking for a Kundalini Yoga Level 1 Teacher training or other Kundalini Yoga or Karam Kriya related workshops, please contact: events@quinta-do-rajo.pt
