Japanese ceramic technique workshop – western version
A unique experience!
I practice the western version of Raku, playing with reduction.
We’ll glaze ceramic pieces
and fire them in a kiln. We’ll take the glowing pieces out and put them in metal buckets with
sawdust, they’ll catch fire and create a reaction. To finish the process plunged in a bucket of
cold water. We’ll get different results, craclê, colours and stains, from black to white, from
turquoise to red.
