Afonsoul is a Brazilian visual artist based in Lisbon. His work combines human figures, nature, and graphic forms to create symbolic compositions centered on identity, movement, and transformation. Birds frequently appear in his works as symbols of freedom, hope, and a sense of home.
His artistic practice evolved during the pandemic, when returning to drawing became a way to process uncertainty and change. Today, through murals and studio work, Afonsoul seeks to create moments of pause, connection, and reflection in the urban space.
