After years of pushing boundaries, psytechno is finally getting the spotlight it deserves.
Now a well-known music platform and many outlets are officially recognising it. The Alchemy Circle has been championing this sound since 2012 🌪️
Inspired by the Alchemy theme of Boom 2012, we wanted to create something unique. We wanted to bring on a brand new concept to follow up the Groovy Beach stage (2008 and 2010 - where sounds from a pioneer label of psytechno, Boshke Beats, were common). Back then, stages outside the psytrance / chill-out dichotomy were simply labelled the “Alternative Stage”. We wanted more.
We turned the Alchemy Circle into a melting pot of psytechno, dark prog, psytrance, progressive, breakbeat, and drum’n’bass - all wrapped up in that signature Boom magic:

Since 2012, this has been one of our temples of fusion, alongside the heartbeat of Boom, the Dance Temple.
Helping young artists find their voice at Alchemy and watching our psychedelic music scene expand in so many directions has been the ultimate trip, and the evolution continues 🍄
